Extended Stay is the cheapest and closest option but has received mixed reviews from SDIT participants. It is a bare bones hotel. Linen is changed once a week. Only one person is on desk duty. It is across the street from a major grocery chain and every room has a kitchenette.

This is more luxurious and therefore expensive option. There is a pool, fitness room, full complimentary breakfast, laundry room, and shuttle to and from CDC and downtown Seattle plus other amenities. It is located 3 blocks from Northgate Shopping Mall which has many small and large restaurants. There are also several restaurants/cafes within a one block radius.

This is a typical Comfort Inn with complimentary breakfast, spa and fitness center, laundry room. Fast food restaurants located nearby. 

Seattle Pacific University Housing - (206) 281-2058, flikka@spu.edu: $41.50 per night for single dorm room. SPU is a 20 minute car drive or 1 hour bus ride from CDC. Transportation is not provided by SDIT to and from SPU. 

Educators Bed and Breakfast - educatorstravel.com: This organization is for educators who would like to travel around the US, Canada and the world and meet nice people and not break the bank. When you sign up ($36 annual membership fee and a $10 one-time registration fee), you get access to people all over who have opened up their homes to other educators. The person making the offer describes the accommodations. For example: king size bed/private bath OR futon in the living room/shared bath, etc. They also provide breakfast, which may be a bowl of cereal or a fancy meal. For two people it costs $40. Sometimes there are even offers to house sit and get an entire house for only $50 a night.
