Ballet Stories Camp Ages 4-6
Have fun exploring, dancing, and learning about story ballets. The Ballet Stories Camp will include an age-appropriate ballet class each day and many fun activities! We will read stories, dress up with costumes, and create props and crafts. Daily snack is to be provided by parents. The dancers will share excerpts of their work in an informal showing for family and friends on the last day of class.
Clothing
Girls: dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, dance skirts, etc., t-shirts, leggings, bare feet.
Boys: sweat pants/shorts, t-shirts, bare feet.

Dance & Art Camp invites children to explore engaging concepts through visual arts, music, stories, and dance. This fun-filled camp includes hands-on art activities, story time, creative dance class, and parent-provided snack. Dancers and artists will share their creativity with family and friends in an informal presentation on the last day of camp.
Clothing
Girls: dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, dance skirts, etc., t-shirts, leggings, bare feet.
Boys: sweat pants/shorts, t-shirts, bare feet.

Creative Dance & Yoga Camp Ages 5-7
Discover the dynamic relationship of yoga and creative dance. We will practice yoga to calm or energize the mind and body and dance joyfully with this grounded awareness as we explore a new dance concept each day. Yoga offers students a way to increase flexibility, strength, and endurance while focusing on breath. Yoga poses and relaxation games support emotional growth and settle bodies and minds. Yoga and creative dance together offer a balanced, fun class full of learning.

Art In Motion Camp Ages 5-8
In the words of Picasso, “Every child is an artist.” Come explore dance and art concepts through the works of Edvard Munch (Symbolism – Scream replica), Jackson Pollock (Abstract Expressionism – Pinwheels), Japanese Artist Riusuke Fukahori (3D Painting – Fish Installation) and others. Each day a new style/artist will be discovered. Participants will experience powerful connections between dance and visual art. Paint shirts will be provided, but come prepared to work with paint and other messy art! Class includes a parent-provided snack and concludes with an informal yet inspiring art walk and movement presentation for family and friends.

Musical Theatre Camp Ages 6-10
Creative Dance Center is alive with the Sound of Music!!! Come explore the world of musical theatre and discover a few of your Favorite Things….singing, dancing, acting, theatre games, set design, costume design and creating original scenes as an ensemble. Discover the joy, energy, laughter and skills the magic of theatre brings! Class includes a parent-provided snack and concludes with an informal presentation.

Dance & Drama Camp Ages 5-7
The unique creative and imaginative qualities of each student will be celebrated as dance, theater, and performance skills are developed during this camp. Through vocalization, improvisation, movement, sense work, and imagination exercises students explore dramatic possibilities and create work based on poems and stories from around the world. Dance concepts come to life through a brain-compatible blend of BrainDance, movement combinations, partner work, improvisations, and choreography. Sara, long time CDC faculty member, holds a BA in Theater Arts. The week-long camp experience will culminate in an informal, collaborative presentation for family and friends. Daily snack is to be provided by parents.
