Creative Arts Program

The Creative Arts Program at the Creative Dance Center for ages 3 1/2-5, provides a foundation for learning through a multi-sensory approach. Children will build social-emotional skills and enhance creative and cognitive development through movement, music, and arts activiites. This is a drop-off program. CDC schedules Visiting Weeks approximately halfway through and during the last week of our sessions. For your child's first class at CDC you are welcome to come into the studio and observe the first few minutes of class, we then ask you to quietly step out. Our waiting room has tables, chairs, toys, crayons, paper, and a library of wonderful books for children and adults. Creative Arts teacher, Ingrid Hurlen will communicate with you if there are any issues that come up regarding separation and participation in class. We will do our best to resolve these issues keeping in mind what will work best for the individual child and the class as a whole. If your young child is not ready to dance on their own, Parent/Child class may be more developmentally appropriate. Please call the Education Director at 206-363-7281 if you are unsure of appropriate class placement for your child or email terry@creativedance.org.
